Overview

Rug Doctor is hiring a full-time, Monday-Friday, product Packout Packer responsible for assembling the various gift packs and pack out inserts in the distribution of Rug Doctor machines and products at our Fenton, MO facility.

Essential Functions

  • Assembling a range of product pack-out kits
  • Distinguish different products for each pack-out being assembled
  • Assist in keeping all needed supplies stocked and organized as set by the Supervisor
  • May operate material handling equipment, including vacuum lift
  • Operate forklift as needed
  • Participates lean activities, including 5S and continuous improvement activities
  • Participates in inventory cycle counts
  • Promote a positive and cohesive work environment.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Forklift certifiable with valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Microsoft Office skills (a plus)
  • Ability to learn quickly and detail oriented with good basic mathematical aptitude and memory retention
  • Ability to arrive at sound conclusions effectively exercise discretion and independent judgement
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision - understand and follow directions
  • Organizational skills with attention thoroughness and accuracy
    Self-motivation and a positive attitude with the ability to work well with others
  • Knowledge of Lean activities, including 5S/continuous improvement activities
  • Good attendance with ability to work as scheduled and work overtime
  • Ability to perform all duties safely & use discretion to prevent injuries
  • Good communication, written and verbal skills
  • Handle miscellaneous related duties and assignments as required

 

Physical Demands

Ability to work well in a high-pressure, team environment
Must be physically fit enough to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs., and manually transport a load up to 75 lbs
